What is SR 22 car insurance?

If you’re driving license is revoked, then you are required to get a certificate authorized by the state in order to make sure that auto insurance liability coverage is maintain by you properly. This is basically what SR22 car insurance is. SR-22 is a document that is required to be filed with a state’s DMV as proof that the minimum liability coverage for the state is being carried. It shows proof of financial responsibility and is typically required by the driver for 3 years to reinstate their driving privileges after an offense such as a DUI conviction, uninsured auto accident, driving without insurance or driving with a suspended license and up to five years for a DUI.
